This website is a catalogue of books. It is deliberately simple, and it collects as little as possible.

What this site collects

One thing, and it is not about you: the site keeps an anonymous tally of how many times each page is opened on each day, so the author can see which of her writing people read. That count is a single number — no cookie is set for it, your IP address is not stored, and nothing connects one page view to another. Two hundred visitors and one very enthusiastic visitor look identical, by design.

Beyond that tally there are no analytics scripts, no advertising tags, no social media trackers, and no third-party services watching you read. The site cannot build a profile of you, because it never records anything about you in the first place.

One small piece of information is stored in your own browser: which imprint you were last reading — the studies or the fiction — so the site opens the way you left it. It never leaves your device, it is not sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes it.

The contact form

The contact form does not send anything from this website. It opens your own email application with the message ready for you to review and send. Your message goes directly to Susan by email, the same as any other email you write, and nothing passes through this site.

Links to other sites

Books are sold on Smashwords. When you follow a purchase link you leave this website, and Smashwords’ own privacy policy and terms apply to anything you do there. The same is true of links to Facebook. This site has no control over, and no visibility into, what those services collect.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this site ever starts collecting something — a mailing list signup, for example — this page will be updated before that happens, and the date above will change.
